I first came across Tyler Cruz’s blog about 6 months ago and have been coming back ever since. The style of writing, refreshing honesty and descriptive details in his posts all make for highly educational yet entertaining reading.

Who is Tyler Cruz?
Tyler is a young and accomplished Internet entrepreneur from Canada (is it just me or does Canada provide somehow too fertile soil for the bloggosphere? So many successful bloggers and web services seem to originate from there :) ) , owner of some rather accomplished web sites such as PokerForums.org, Movie-Vault.com or PublisherSpot.com.

What distinguishes Tyler Cruz from others?
A great question I am glad you asked. These days where every man and his dogs have a blog (sometimes few of them each) it is not so easy for an individual blogger to stand out.

Yet it appears to me, that Tyler’s honest and open approach to blogging guarantees his place in the spotlight as he is never afraid to disclose lots of personal (here he quite literally invited all the reading public into his place) and web business (here he took a temporary set back in his affiliate marketing efforts like a man in order to moves onto some more suitable projects) information.

I guess somewhere along those two approaches lies the secret which keeps his ever growing readers hooked. After all, I don’t think that your average Internet reader is all that much different from the average reality TV show fan. Show them a little bit of web celebrity (eg. quality web site owner or profitable Internet earner), couple that with few learning tips on how its done and spice up with some details about his personal life and voila! Successful blog is born.

What I love about Tyler Cruz
I can’t really put my finger on it, but I guess I am no different to any other blogging punter trying to earn few bucks learning some profitable strategies from the ones who “made it” (yeah Tyler don’t act surprised once you can keep on playing the Guitar Hero II on your XBox 360 all days long without the worry about your next pay cheque, man you know you made it :) ).

And so I immensely enjoy the lengthy, very regular and very descriptive posts of one young man’s fight for success. A fight, many of us don’t even have the guts to begin.

What I hate about Tyler Cruz
Using “hate” in the heading did get your attention didn’t it? Well there is not much to hate really. If I do have a problem with anything on his blog, than perhaps, I would point out Tyler’s occasional copycat approach. Even a half conscious blogger must have noticed that Tyler is a keen John Chow fan (latest example is, after all, review for link program in both of which yours truly gladly participates :) ) every now and again dressing up some John’s idea neatly for his own blog.

But can we blame him? I don’t think so. As arguably one of the most profitable bloggers of today, John Chow has been a source of ideas and inspiration to hundreds maybe thousands would be Dot Com Moguls, including the humble writer of this article.

Hence, after all, Tyler Cruz is just cleverly using the best tools available in the Blogging Town for his own benefit and, needles to say, it works a treat! With his trademark honesty and “tongue in cheek” humor he is also the first one to point this fact out with his own “monkey see monkey do” remarks.

So Tyler, good luck on your journey to Internet wealth, I am right behind you reading your every post as you publish it :)
